Day 1 - From Quito or Latacunga - Isinlivi
We offer service from Quito or Latacunga to Isinlivi, the trips take around 3 hours night in Isinlivi Llullu Llama Mountain Lodge is a small eco-friendly lodge situated right on Ecuador’s most famous trekking route, the Quilotoa Loop. Built in local style, and in harmony with community & environment, the lodge is surrounded by impressive volcanoes, breathtaking mountain views, traditional highland villages.
Day 2- Hike Isinlivi - chughcilan
Isinlivi is situated at 2900 metres and Chughilan on 3200 metres. There is some downhill and uphill hiking, but at one part there is quite steep uphill for quite some time.
Usually take round 4-6 hours climb to Chughcilan, night at Hostal Mama Hildas a family run hostal in the small town of Chugchilan on the Quilotoa Loop. We are ideally situated half way around the loop and have been welcoming guests to our hostal for many years. We’re a popular, inexpensive hostal that is a great place to base your exploration of the surrounding area.
Day 3 - Hike chugchilan - Quilotoa
Chugchilan to Quilotoa; And finally, the trek to the majestic crater lake begins here! Early mornings are the best time to start this hike. From Chugchilan, you descend a valley initially and then make your way up. After a while, the pathway gets plateaued, leading to Quilotoa, usuallly take around 5-6 hours. Night in Quilotoa
